Vynd exists because a specific, recurring problem in global logistics could not be solved by the tools that dominated the market.
For more than a decade, the industry has focused on reusable tracking solutions built for long-term asset management. However, high-value, one-way shipments, such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, perishables, and mining goods, operate in a different reality: frequent custody changes, multiple jurisdictions, and destinations where device recovery is irrelevant.
Existing solutions were economically misaligned and too complex. They failed to deliver the proof of custody, immediate tamper detection, and risk quantification that customers actually needed.
Vynd was born from repeated customer conversations at Sky-way Group. Customers didn’t want conventional tracking; they wanted real evidence, accountability, and visibility on every single journey.
The breakthrough was realising that disposability is a category enabler. By creating a single-use smart bolt seal whose economics match the shipment, Vynd eliminated reverse logistics, simplified deployment, and built the world’s first purpose-built system for journey-specific cargo risk and visibility.
